Family Portrait..party of 30..no problem ..what about your family?

So if your are looking at these and are slightly jealous...contact me. A family portrait it's quite a conundrum...it's feat to coordinate and convince everyone...I know I have a family myself and to be honest after this shoot I'm all...that's IT this spring we are doing it! I have photographs of all the cousins and little people...but its those darn ADULTS that are so difficult....sorta reminds me of teaching. Listen it is a gift.. you really won't regret it and hey you can get everyone to chip in and share the cost. After the endless fb messages with your family and side bar bickering about whoever has the stones to actually coordinate this.. you'll be grateful..because ultimately your grateful for each one of them.... in their own unique crazy way. You are who you are because of them. The photo...that's your evidence, your heirloom. In 2015 Jamie Kaminski Photography will always be adding a print credit to any package...because you NEED the prints....technology will change...who knows what todays jpg will become in 2060...but a photo...well that ...that's timeless...enJOY!!!

There are a billion memories that I could share about this family I adore, but for right now lets just relish in the fact that ...YES there are 29 people in this photo above and YES they are looking. Now there are many versions and ya'll will be able to print the one you look best in lol..

but I needed to share... I was excited!

A lucky gal for sure and I haven't even shown you the granddaughters and any other combination you could think of because...yes we took it! There may have been a large amount of marsh-mellow eating bribing..but I am not telling....

As for  this lovely lady below....We know it takes two and I believe the connections to heaven provided a warm December day, so we could ACTUALLY do this. A Mom the heart of a family...it never ceases to amaze me the power of one person...one person's love, one person's smile. A Happy New Year awaits and I am so grateful to be a part of it...much love!

Make a memory, make a mini

In the spirit of mother’s day and my love of heirlooms and preserving family history I wanted to come up with a way for more of you to professionally preserve your history, photographically of course. I know one day the image above of my mother and grandmother taken last week will make me cry, but I think it will be the good kind of cry. I love how my grandma's lips match the tulips! Happy Mother's Day!!!

What is a mini?

A mini is a condensed portrait session. Gather three of your closest friends/family and kin and pick a place for me to come photograph you. I also have several location suggestions.

Deatils:

Each group will be photographed for 25 minutes.

Each Session group will include (2) digital downloads and (2) 5x7 images of your choice.  

$125 per group (must have 3 groups total)

a blooper from A Smile to Remember

So because I have a loooong history with this little man's folks I feel free to share this ridiculous blooper. Definitely one of my favorite bloopers ever! There are three sides to every story. One he did in fact wake up a 4 am the day of this photo session at "A Smile to Remember". Two he at first, was not so thrilled about taking photo's. Three he totally warmed up and was a sweetheart filled with smiles, he did however manage to send me a subconscious little message..lol...truth be told he was pointing and giggling during this but.... seriously? I think his Dad will appreciate this...who OMG he looks so much like now, especially when he is laughing..crazy.

4 siblings & a cousin= ACTiviTy!

Kids are active, we expect that..especially when they are in a big group, but I love photographing children in quite moments in the midst of chaos...what are they dreaming about in those growing minds....So this was my final holiday shoot for the season two 8 months olds, two,2 year olds and one five year old phew....out with a beautiful bang!

Rachel's turn to be in the pictures

When a photographer is a Mom you end up with a precarious situation.... You have a woman that completely values the powers of photography to remind, capture, heal, enlighten & validate to name a few....but... She the passionate lover of photography is so very often not part of the amazing imagery she creates. Well.... NOT this day for Rachel! Here she is surrounded by her two beautiful, silly little girls and husband. She even gets to be in the picture with here sisters, mom, niece & brother in law! You know that squeeze when you can't get close enough... I love how little miss "B's" face is so squished and the girls giggling above makes me giggle. As a mom photographer myself...and not particularly an overly sappy person I have cried at images that illustrate emotions between myself and my boys. It's no surprise to me that the first thing people say they would grab in a fire if given the chance would be a photo album....that's power....enJOY miss Rachel you deserved this experience!
