Fallin' in love

Yesterday was a picture perfect fall day and a beautiful time to document falling in love. These two were so at ease and giggly it made for such a smooth shoot. So he put a ring on it... I think she looks pretty happy about that. Wishing you all the best and looking forward to next fall! 

Getting ready for the first look!

I always love the stark contrast between the women getting ready and the men. This bride had a small army of family and friends getting ready in one house. There was so much energy and excitement it was contagious...never mind a really good playlist jammin. The guys were totally chillin watching ESPN, throwing back a few..ok maybe a couple. I suppose I'm sorta a sucker for the sister shots..I grew up with brothers so..while it was awesome I suppose I always wonder what sisterhood would have been like...looks like it was fun! The bride caught on that I really loved photographing her curlers...but she looks so darn pretty like a movie star behind set! We also set up a Daddy first look..because hey he earned this and he was her first man.  The gold flowers were so unique and fun..just like this couple and accented this perfect fall day. This couple was extremely flexible and handled a slight snag with the party bus. I do think my ability to shift gears come from two places... motherhood and also working as a teacher. This first look "plan b" idea in opinion worked out exactly how it was supposed to...with a  little help from the best man and bridal party...using the ol neighborhood that they both grew up in as a backdrop...it turned out quite sweet and nods to the history they share. Ok after all this... it is still time to GET MARRIED...put on those watches, get in that car. It's time to get hitched. One more private kiss by the gate before you share the day with all of your loved ones! Stay tuned because the party is just getting started....

When: Sunday October 19th, 8:30 am-11am, rain date 10/26/2014  (more times added as needed)

Where: Greenwood Lake Beach, Greenwood Lake New York (a captain obvious choice...I can't believe I haven't had these here before durr! The fall leaves look gorgeous reflecting off the lake!)

Details:

Each group will be photographed for 20 minutes. (Groups limited to 5 members only, larger groups email for details).

6  high resolution jpegs, with printing rights given via cd or email. 

Investment:

$150 per group, 6 high resolution jpegs with printing rights, additional prints available a la carte

Backyard Bliss

Now this was a beautiful day for a wedding! Ya know what the best part of a backyard wedding is? Well let me tell you....This bride didn't like the forecast for the original date SO she pushed everything back a day.  That was a first for me ...but a perfect idea! I think her smile tells its all. This blended family united under brilliant blue skies. All of the details could be appreciated, especially her fun dress that sparkled in the sun! There was swimming, yard games, football, bouncy houses and endless trays of yummy food. You see the kids all around the dessert table? Yeah they couldn't wait! The paper lanterns offered quite the challenge and excitement, but for the few that went up...it was so darn pretty....and maybe a few small fires.  Congratulations on becoming husband and wife and a  family of five, it was a pleasure to capture your day!!!

Gitty Up there's a wedding in the works!

I have no doubt that this wedding will be high energy fun, keeping me on my toes! These two laugh easily and its contagious. Now I may have needed to remind them that I was still at our shoot...but as a photographer if my subjects can forget I am even there...even better! Oo la la... At your wedding I promise not be in your face the whole time and yell at your family to pose or sit. Life is fluid and that's how I like to capture it. Congrats E and D! I am so looking forward to October.

A Private Moment

Well it's not really a private moment because I'm there, BUT my biggest goal is to make my clients feel at ease. Forget my presence. You have invited me in to one of the most memorable moments of your life and I place tremendous value on the trust you have instilled upon me. For all of you that have been married for many a years...remember when you just couldn't sit close enough to your love...this is such a magical time. Move slow, move with purpose, move together...everything else happens so very fast.

Nicki & Mike the reception

So as the sun set the party began. Guests arrived via school bus, I had to take advantage of the back seat of the bus...ah we've all been there....what was his/her name for you?...hmmm... The bride walked into the reception singing, with her captivating powerful voice. She shared a dance with her first man..Daddy and a sweet embrace, with her flower I love you forever girl. Things began to heat up with dessert. I love the bride's reaction to the surprise dance everyone prepared. Her band even took the floor for a bit. Yes some did party til' they dropped as for the bride & groom I'm sure the night didn't last long enough, but that is why you have a lifetime...very best wishes to you both!
